Doula Services Include:
• Two prenatal appointments - These appointments are a time to get to know each other, hear your specific needs and desires, and to make sure you feel comfortable. It will be a time for discussion and education. You will be provided with the tools you need to feel you can make informed decisions. We will also prepare a birth plan together. These appointments will be held at my office.
• Assistance in preparing your birth plan - I will help you create a birth plan. We can discuss the many different options, the risks, and benefits. Then, you can come up with a birth plan that you are happy with and that's right for your family.
• 24/7 access by phone and email offering support for questions or concerns - I will be there to answer questions and to hear updates, to offer resources throughout your entire pregnancy and initial postpartum period.
• Continuous labor support during your birthing experience (your home and hospital) - I will be there to support you and your partner through labor, birth, and up to 2 hours after delivery. I will provide emotional, physical, and educational support for both you and your partner.
• Initial breastfeeding support - I can help you with breastfeeding. I have additional education and training for support with breastfeeding, as well as, successfully breastfed my three children .
• One/Two postpartum visits - I will come to see you in your home for the postpartum appointment(s) and answer any questions that your new family may have. I will also provide additional breastfeeding support and referrals. These visits provide you with additional support for any possible on-going concerns.
• Birth photography - I can share pictures of your new family and baby via email. I can provide you with a CD including all the photos.
• Birth Story - I can provide a birth story of my account of your amazing experience with documented details for you to save and treasure forever!
• Lending library - I have a very large library of books and videos that you are welcome to use as resources for your education throughout this process.
